<p>Blackheads are produced due to excessive production of sebum. This excessive sebum clogs the pores, gets mixed with dirt and bacteria and form a black color head shape.  Blackheads can be caused at any age but they are more prevalent in teenage due to high hormone levels in blood which cause excessive oil secretion by the glands. Then blackheads can be removed by the tools available in the market. OR a cotton pad may be used to dislodge the blackheads. The pad may be soaked in hot water and face should be wiped with it. the pad should be hot and pressure should be applied around the blackhead area.</p>
<p>Facial scrub can be used to remove blackheads. The face should be massaged with the facial scrub, rinsed and cleaned. Waxing may be done to remove the blackheads. Since blackheads are due to oxidation of acne and not the build up of dirt; it can not be washed away or scrubbed away. Facial treatment can be done may at beauty parlour or at home. Picking ans squeezing of skin should not be doen to remove blackheads.</p>
<p>Avoiding oily, greasy and fried foods and drinking plenty of water helps in prevention of blackheads formation. Physical exercise is good as it causes sweating which clears pores.</p>
